....I never really saw my antenna as unattractive. My truck is black and my antenna is black so you really don't even notice it much if any when observing my truck so I think i'll save myself the grief and hassle. LOL! Not bad at all for those who prefer the clean shaven look on their ride though.

I wound up throwing an amplified antenna on my truck cause my antenna never worked right. I think the cable was damaged somewhere but I couldn't find it. So I found a cheap amplied antenna, removed the factory one like MrLM7 said and mounted the amplified one to my rear window just behind the rear seat. It works.

Well I tried to do this and I broke my antenna clean off.
I didnt take the plastic piece off, just tried to un-screw the antenna by the base, which was before I realized it wouldnt work.
Now Im just gonna rig up a coathanger and some silicone and run it under my hood.

At least you have a unique antenna mod.
At least you have a unique antenna mod.

But it has to be better than having no antenna at all.

RE: Shave your antenna for free!!!
Can anyone tell me where the rubber snubber is on the 99-02 and how it goes in and hides under the hood seal. I just want to make sure I know what I am doing before I start doing it. Thanks for any help.
