I have Hypertech tuner on my 2002 Sierra 2wd and i love it. I can real tell the difference in the way it runs. It gives a lot of options on what you want to change and what kind of gas you use. I don't know if they have them out for the 06 yet but i bought mine at truckperformance.com. You might want to look into the new hyperpack if they have it out. I've been wanting one of those myself. It shows your 1/4 mile and so on.

If you really want your trucks full potential you should have it custom tuned, the hand helds cannot remove torque management and the custom tuners can do all of what the hand held programers offer plus offer a dual fuel tune for 87-89 89-91 91-93 octane and they can make your trailer button a race button. If you really want to go with a hand held check out westers_garage.eidnet.org he writes programs for the diablo sport predator, but really your best option by far would be to have him or one of his dealers tune your computer for exactly what you want and have. I am one of his dealers in KS and offer a $75 discount to members of Truck Forums, depending on how you mail the PCM turn around is usuall less than a week. Either way you go, Westers is the best, he tests all of his tunes on his dyno and proves them with miles. Hope this helped

Saud - Hemikiller has definitely shown us a great product - but it seems pretty spendy. I got the hypertech for about $350 delivered, and like Vetteguy, did see improvements in HP, fuel management, and most noticably, torque. If you've got the $, I'd see Wester's, but hypertech makes a good product, I've been running it for close to a year and have been happy.

I have a 02 2wd 5.3 and I first installed flowmaster 40. I could really feel difference in power and then K&N filter. That was about the same as the flowmaster. Finally I bought a hypertech III, man that was a great investment for adding power. And I started slow with changes then I tuner for the 93 octane and change the shift firmness and started fueling with 93 octance gas. I can tell you that it is a different truck now. check ebay for hypertech.
