listen up folks. I have a little problem. I recently purchased a 2003 GMC sierra 1500 HD. This truck has a mirror glass missing from the passenger side. It is the one with the turning signal in it. I also purchased a used replacement mirror from eBay. It is the same except the housing is painted to match the truck it came from. I was wondering if their is a trick to removing the mirror glass from the other housing. I have tried several times. But It seems to be locked some how. I feel like their might be a simple way to remove the glass without breaking it.. I would hate to break it because they cost about 350.00 dollars for a new one.....all help would be appreciated..thanks shatter26

 

I replaced mine on the drivers side. Yeah, I paid $300.00 and some change. The parts guy at my dealership was helpful and showed me that all you have to do is pull it off. If I remember correctly it just snaps in place. You pop the old one off, disconnect the plug and install the new one . It was easy.
