ahhh..compressor is over-building and the pop-off go's off...this is intermittent?

You can bet you socks it will do it every 10 seconds. Though it slows down the longer that you drive.

I'm guessing here...but I've seen compressors do that...it was always a faulty compressor...I assume this only does it with a/c on?

Only on AC and defrost.

ok...it certainly sounds like a bad compressor...the noise you hear is freon farting out the valve...it'll probly crapcan soon
