Silverado Transfer Case
The TC in my 99 Silverado just gave out on me. I had the TC replaced 5 years ago at 88K miles, current mileage is 142K.
I have read various posts and blogs regarding the vibrating pump problem that wears a hole in the casing, causing failure. I've also read that Chevy has addressed this problem by adding a collar on the pump to prevent the rubbing.
My question is, how do I know if the TC that was put in my truck 5 years ago and just failed, had the redesign/fix?
