When I did my sounds in the 99, I had to remove the trim piece that goes across the back, unscrew two screws that hold the side pannel, and then its just gently pulling it straight out from there so careful of your tabs especially if you drop some bass in your truck you dont want super vibrating lose pannels lol.

 

Pioneer makes great speakers. I used all top end Pioneer 4 x 6" speakers in my 91' amped and dynomat used and then put an Alpine in, rockford 10" sub and 2 rockford amps (One 4 channel and one 1 channel). It was a freaking concert all. I loved that stereo. I miss it. But Im not going ape sh*t on this truck. The factory speakers (6 speaker premium setup) are pretty good with the Alpine hooked to them. My factory set up with the Alpine sounds ten times better than my buddies factory Infinity setup in his Dodge, so Im not to worried about it.

 

Man I don't care what you say I've never heard anything better than Bose. My 95 Z28 had the factory Bose stereo with small subs behind the headrests in the b pillars..... "dang"

 

The factory bose in my truck is not that great. It is OK, but not great.

 

ever since i replaced my factory speakers its like a concert inside but not annoying out of the truck.
