I have a 2005 2500 HD. I'm having problems starting it. It doesn't turn over. I checked the battery & it is fully charged. I'm suspecting the starter but I have never heard of a starter going out on a 3 year old truck. Any help would be appreciated.

 

i would take the starter out and have it check even though it is three years old you never know

 

My starter is starting to go out. It kinda makes like a humming noise in the beginning but then i just turn it off and turn it back on right away and turns on. It only does this every little while. I have an 04' HD as well and those starters aint cheap.

 

one way to know for sure....put a 12v test lite on the purple wired terminal at the starter and have someone turn the key...if it has voltage but does not crank,she's bad
