Default sucky brakes

I herd that alot of chev trucks have this problem and am wondering if anyone has found a good remedy of fix for this problem? when i step on my brakes its like they are mushy or not all there, they still do the job i just hate them.

They suck period. I've heard of brake upgrades (Willwood's larger calipers and rotors for example) or the use of stainless brake hoses if you can find them. They work better. Make sure the brake components are up to spec before upgrading.

my 88 has a rock hard pedal...but so-so braking power...
some around 96 were mushy

Maybe the year, I dunno. Mine was cammed but not radical so I should have had plenty of vacuum. I had a new booster put in, and calipers, hoses, complete drums all new, about the same pedal.

yup replaced everything on mine m/c booster fronts and rears and lines and hoses and its still a little soft with plenty of stopping power just the way it is i guess.

Get this....Gm has a thicker brake pedal pad....I could put that on and you'd be AMAZED
