tach hook up

i need to know where do i hook my tack signal wire to for my tach,going into a 96 silverado 305,thanks guys

off the distrubitor i think it is a purple wire

you can check the auto meter web site and they have down loadable diagrams and instructions for almost any vehicle

that 96 doesnt have a factory tach on the cluster?
