thermostat.......
anyone know if i can run my 05 silverado without a thermostat?? i know that older cars can be run without one, and i run without one on my boat, but i am not too sure if the sensors/computer would be effected by removing the thermostat.........anyone know???
Why would you want to remove the Tstat? Am i missing something? I LQQK @ it like this. If vehicles weren't meant to have or didn't need Tstats, or any other parts that are on vehicles directly from the MANUFACTURER, they wouldn't be assembled with them, would they? Granted, everyone does it, but.............. Just my .02 worth
On any motor, you will get terrible gas mileage especially in the winter. Plus say bye bye to any heat or defrost on cold mornings.
I put a 160 in my 91 and could never get more than 12-13 mpg in the wintertime. Plus I could never keep the windows defrosted and had just barely enough heat to keep the kill off.
