I am going to start fabing up a replacement steel bumper for my 2000 silverado. Its going to be a cross between ranch hand, buckstop, monster ect. I was wondering if anyone has one of these bumpers and can tell me the thickness of steel plate they used. I know ranch hand uses 1/4", but that doesnt seem to have any ***** behind it. I was gonna make it out of 3/8" but I would like some input. I am also adding 1/2" tabs on the front so I can put some shackles on. I have seen ranch hands that bend out where the 2" receiver is and I dont want mine to bend out at the shackle location
