Default Think I ate another U-joint...

My truck has a slight vibration in the *** end at 60-70 MPH, particularly when you ease off the gas pedal. Any other speed it is just fine.

What do you guys think? U-joint again? Or could it be something simpler or more severe? I haven't replaced the U-joint at the yoke yet but I am afraid I will not be able to do it without a press.

Both the "yoke" u-joint and the rear-most u-joint have zerk fittings and I have greased them a few time this past year. Maybe I should have been using heavier grease?

I would appreciate any thoughts on this guys!

I had the same problem over the summer. I also had fittings on my U-joints which I greased every oil change. But still, I got the vibration youare talking about. Rear U-joint was seized which in turn slightly ovaled the aluminum driveshaft. $400 later I had new U-joints, new steel driveshaft, and a new seal on my transfer case output shaft. The seal may or may not have been related to the U-joints, but when I climbed under the truck i saw it was spattering oil underneath so it got replaced too.

Oh man, I don't want to think about replacing the driveshaft. How did you determine the drive shaft was out of spec?
