Banks isnt ****, my friend had the PPE on his duramax and it will smoke the tires from a 30 mph roll. and thats only on level 5 of 10. he said he needs to get his tranny built to go any higher. i would defiantly say go with the duramax. 6.0 power strokes are junk, cummins is pretty mean but there tranny's suck. the only real issue that the duramax is known for is the injectors going out

RE: thinking about buying a new truck
that dude's duramax gets like 22 on the highway which i find incredible for a 3/4 ton 4wd truck granted diesel's a little more exspensive. the other thing to take into consideration if your worried about cost is the oil changes cost a whole lot more, along with replacing the fuel filter just about every change

Go 05 or 06, and try an d get the most basic 3/4 ton you can. No dual wheels and extra HD stuff you don't need.
Well what good is PPE if you need to build the transmission to use it? lol I guess I am biased cause I don't have a lot of money to play with.

As of today, September 25, 2008, you can get a brand new dodge quad cab hemi, loaded for 50% off the sticker. That is a $40,000 truck for about $20,000 plus taxes, etc. Will the savings cancel the poor mpg?
