i have a 2003 chevy 2500hd with the 6.0 litre in it. it has around 100k miles now but for the past year it would randomly shut off use of the gas pedal and say reduced power. allowing me to go ten. although i can shut it off, reset the computer and it will be fine for a hour or two. my friend and local mechanic and i narrowed it down to the throttle body. they are just to expensive, and i dont really wanna put a referbished one in. any advice to my problem?

 

I am having a simmilar problem and didn't want to pay for an expensive TB eaither. I found a company that makes an aftermarket product for about half the price. I bought it at (AutoPartsWarehouse) check it out, mine was about $150 new.
