I haven't heard to many good things about trans Dapt. I would go with Airaid. It is 99 bucks and from what I've heard, it is the way to go. I'm going to be putting one on my 01 5.3L next week, so I'll let you know how it performs.

The airaid works great I think. It makes a whisltling sound though. I like it, but it seems to get on other peoples nerves. Trick flow makes one with a no whistle design, and its about $65. Try that on summitracing.com

Hey chevy1224, do you have an airaid on your ride? If so did you notice any noticable difference in power? I can't wait to get mine on, it should be here soon. Thanks!!

yea i do, it helps alot with gas (2-3mpg) and a little with low and mid-range power. I put that and my exaust on at the same time, so I dont really know how much is felt at one time sorry!

I have an AirRaid on my 1997 Silverado and yes it does make a whistling noise when you get on it. However it also says in the instructions "If it whistles it's working." I have that, dual exhaust with Flowmaster high flow mufflers and a K&N filter and I have noticed an increase in power.
