Throttle body sensor question
Alright I only know of the throttle positioning sensor but whats the other sensor on top, I have a 99 Silverado.
I ported/cleaned my throttle body today and I removed that sesnor to clean it with carb cleaner then wiped off but now I have a Service Engine Soon light on which I think is because I sprayed it and might have damaged it. Should I dis-connect my battery for an hour to see if that resets it?

Thank you both very much espcially Argon for the specifics.
I might try to visit one of my dad's friends that has a OBD-II reader to see what the code says if it doesnt go away in an hour (resetting computer atm) and maybe he might be able to clear it for me.

Just turn your key to start then tap your gas peddal quickly 5 times to reset the message.
Edit: After letting the truck sit for 1hr the message went away after the truck started up. ^_^

Wow sounds very forceful... o.o
Sadly I went to start it again to go to the beach and it made a funny start-up (like choking at first after letting the key go) then the light came back on. I took the sensor out to see if I could use electronic air spray on it and I dis-connected the battery again. Sucks that parts costs about $100 new >.<

Hey Argon if the Air idler motor still works perfectly fine could a bad throttlebody gasket cause S.E.S light also and a slight vacuum where the throttle pedal is barely sticky at first?
