what i have is a 1985 chevy c-10 with a 305. i currently have the chevy esc system on it i have just purchased a 65k hei with 8 degree vac advance distributor. where do i need to set my inital timing for best preformance.and what should my goal be for total timing. the motor is all stock right now.the factory timing tag says to set it at 4 degree kinda think that is a little low i have never set one lower than 8 degree any advice would be helpful
