I just picked up a set of cragar 15x7 for the fronts and 15x10 for the rear at a heck of a price. Too good to pass up. The problem is I don't know what to run on them.

I am putting them on my 87 Silverado. I haven't even begun to finish the motor that is going in it. Right now I am running a stock 350 with no mods anywhere. I plan on running an SBC 350 with about 350 to the rear if it all works out right.

Anybody have any suggestions for a good street tire with an occasional 1/4 mile run? I want to be able to run the highway and still get a good pull off the stop light if need be...

I would say 275/60/R15 in back and just don't go with a taller tire up front. Maybe return the 15x7 for 15x10 all around.
