Default A tire pressure sensor question

I was wondering if you rotate your tires, does the truc's information center know that that pressure sensor is now in a different location?

Yes. The wheel sensor and sensor on the hub assembly aren't mated together. Each pickup point simply relays the info from the unit on the wheel and sends it to the computer so it doesn't matter if you rotate the tires. Even with the monitoring system in place, it's still a good practice to check your tire pressure on a regular basis.

I just bought an 08 Silverado crew cab..... They put new tires on it before I bought it. After a short time the Tire Pressure Monitoring System warning came on. I tried using the key fob to relearn the sensors. I did the LF, RF, RR, and when I got to the LR the horn would not chirp. [ I tried 3 times ]. Does that mean a battery may be dead? Should i take it somewhere and have the sensors flashed? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 08 also and had same problem you are experiencing. I replaced the sensor on one tire when the battery went dead. I was told that the batteries in the original sensors was designed to last 10 yrs. which it did, lasting 13 yrs.
