Default Tire size and fuel economy

I just picked up a 1998 k1500, it has 245/75/16 tires on it and I wnat to go up to at least a 265/75/16, will I loose much fuel mileage going to a little bigger tire? Also can 285/75/16 fit without rubbing too much?

Your city MPG MIGHT suffer slightly, but otherwise you'll be fine. And yes 285's will fit. Use torsion bars if needed, but stock hide height should work.
