yeah thats total bull **** and walmart is completley stupid. the only thing to worry about really when switching from a tire size is cleareance and the width if you go to a larger tire. going to a 245 is completly fine go to a actual tire place and they will do it fine.. i switch tires sizes all the time at work(firestone) and alli worry about is to make sure the tire can handle the load and fit on the rim and then that it wont rub on the car..

there's more I left out. Neither Sears nor Walmart would mount the 245 width tire because the sticker on the door jam had 265 as the recommendation.

yea theyre strict about that stuff so theyre not liable for any kind of damage. you got to go to a Tire place and not a department store if you want something not stock.

I have a similiar issue but in reverse. I have an '07 K2500 HD 4x4 Crew (Duramax/Allison) with stock 16x6.5 rims and LT245/75/R16 Bridgestone Duravais M773's on it. I want to upgrade to Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO's in 265/75/RR16's. Will these tires fit on the stock rims?

If you do select BFG All Terrains I believe you will like them. I have 40K on the set I amrunning right now and they are great on and off the road.

Is there a local tire store you can deal with near you? I deal with Sun Tire in Jacksonville, Florida and no one has ever told me what size tire I had to buy. They will make reccomendations but I cannot believe the Walmart and Sears guys do not want your money unless you buy the original size. Probably some corporate insurance BS. Anyway, I love my BFGs. Good luck.

yep... you could even do 285/75/r16 if you wanted... but 265 will work fine

yea the only thing is the revo's need to be an LT as well cus you need the load rating wheter it be aD load or an E load but other than that you can definitely do it.. have the same size on my suburban and i am going to go to a LT285/75/16 in the revo's
