Torsion Keys i need some guidance please.
I want to level my truck 03 Sierra 1500 ext cab 4x4 short box.
I have been looking on ebay and Rough Country. LINK
If the torsion key raises the front why do I need blocks for the box?
The frame is not changing just the downward point front end right?
I am sure someone has done this, if not all of you. What level kit/company would you recommend?

You do not need the blocks unless you are planning on raising your truck even higher then you will need the blocks. Just too level it all you need is to crank on the stock torsion keys or you can replace the stock keys with after market keys to raise the front also. What is the difference in cranking on teh stock keys vs the after market keys I do not know. I am sure someone will chime in with an answer...

You really don't need the after-market keys unless you plan on off roading it or putting a plow on the front. I just cranked my stock ones down until the frame measured level in front and back. Just make sure you spray those bolts with a little lube and do your measuring on a level surface. I have put just over 43,000 miles on my '06 Crew Cab 1/2 ton and have had no problems with my stock keys.

from what I have read if you just crank the factory key up, it makes a harsh ride and the front end components wear out faster. The aftermarket key re index, and keep a smoth ride without the wear and tear.
Please correct me if I am wrong. As it would save me some $.

I'm no mechanic or anything, but all the guys I know ( myself included ) have the stock keys " cranked down " and have no problems yet. Two guys I know actuaal have theirs cranked down and have plows on their trucks, with no problems. My ride seems to be fine. Like I said, i'm no mechanic but my experiences with this suspension set up has been fine.
