have a 2001 silverado autormatic has a lot of jerking when starting out, seems to run smooth down the road. I think its transfercase. would some one be able to help me figure out what exactly is my problem?

Be a little more specific about "jerking when starting out." What speed, rpm, is the motor running smooth or is it surging a little?

When you start out from a stop, it will jerk like you have a lot of play, also sometimes sounds like cans rolling around in the bed of the pickup. only happens when gaining speed, like slapping. Usually when you accelerate, doesnt matter speed.
