transmission help

i have a 1997 chevy silverado with 115,000 miles and a 4l60e. When i checked my fluid i noticed black dust in the fluid. It is still a nice red/pink color. Is this anything to be concerned about?

It could be clutch material or it could be stuff from the inside of the cooler......I would pull the pan and see what you find in the bottom of it
