Transmission problems

I've got a 95 gmc 1500 and sometimes from a dead stop it will take off in 3rd gear I've changed the speed sensor and the neutral safety switch but that didn't work any suggests

Do you know if it has a electric shift pack in there? If it does, that may be where the trouble is.

Well it's quite possibly a 4L60E. There's some YouTube vids on ' common problems of the 4L60E'. I didn't watch them, Do a search for them and they may have some info to help you.
