Default trouble with 85 c10

I have an edelbrock 1406 with an electric choke. It is a brand spanking new engine, put it in Feb. of this year. The truck ran flawlessly, even at idle. You could set a drink on the seat and it wouldn't spill. Well, i was doing some maintenance on it one day and a friend was over. So we get to talking and i put the carb back on but forget to tighten clamp on the fuel line going into carb. Well, we take off down the road and i see smoke. Long story short, my truck had caught fire. We were able to put it out fast enough with minimal damage. The fire was to the back left of the carb and in front of the dist. All it did was burn off some of my vac hoses, burn my air filter, burn a hole in the cap and burn the harness/capacitor. I replaced capac., spark plugs, ign. wires, fuel filter, cap, rotor, ign. module, air filter...yet it still runs rough. Could it be the carburetor? Just did a kit, maybe i ruined it or put something in backward?
