Default Trouble filling gas tank?

My '04 Silverado doesn't seem to like most gas pumps. The pumps auto-shutdown, like the tank is full, repeatedly and I have to pump gas very slowly sometimes. Moved the nozzle up/down/in/out doesn't seem to make any difference while pumping. Very annoying when its 10*F outside. Anyone know if there is a fix for this? Clogged vent line etc? Thanks, RT

My '06 does the same thing now and then. I have yet to find a fix. I have read to try putting the nozzle in upside down, but that did not help at all. It will happen a lot for a few weeks, and then not happen at all for months. I agree, it's not fun when it's cold out.
