Smile Truck Accessories as a gift... I need help!

Hey guys,

My name is Kat. Long story short, I live with my awesome fiancé who loves to hunt and work construction type jobs. He is supporting me while I finish school and he owns the house by himself, but we are managing. He decided to buy a little mazda 3 to save money on gas and car payments while I was driving his old beat up 2004 canyon. He was in an accident with the canyon and it was totaled and instead of buying another small car, I decided that we should trade in the mazda so he could get the truck of his dreams and I can manage to take the bus while I'm in school.

Well he got a 2015 Chevy Silverado and he's so happy about it. His birthday and Christmas are coming up and I want to get him something for the truck. I know nothing about trucks. He already has all terrain tires and a tonneu cover. The Silverado he got came with vinyl flooring so we're not concerned about mats. We got the cab sprayed by Line-X...

Is there anything that I can get him? Something he'll want or need for the truck, for jobs or for hunting? Tool boxes or gun cases? I have no idea what I'm doing and I would love some help from the experts!

Thanks so much guys!

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on the new truck! I work for a Chevy dealer and hope you enjoy the truck as much as I enjoy fixing them!

I would recommend a weathertech bug deflector for the front hood:
2015 Chevrolet Silverado | WeatherTech Stone and Bug Deflector, Bug Shield, Stone Guard | WeatherTech.com

Also some window deflectors too:
2015 Chevrolet Silverado | WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors, Rain Guards, Wind Deflectors | WeatherTech.com

Weathertech is a great brand and makes really highquality products. I see many of my customers at work having these products installed onto their pickups and they appear to be a very good fit. I would also recommend a truck toolbox. This can be tricky with a tonneau cover because most of the toolboxes you can get will overlap the outside edges of the truckbed making the tonneau cover impossible to fit. Your options will be very slim for the type of setup needed to get a toolbox to fit inside the bed and under the tonneau cover, so I'm thinking you might want to avoid that option if he's in love with the tonneau cover.

You might consider a paint protector or "clear bra" for the front hood and bumper of the truck to protect it from rock chips. I've heard really good things about 3M's scotchguard pro:
Protect your vehicle's paint with Scotchgard? Pro Series Paint Protection Film

Running board / Side steps are good additions as well.

Depending on when he leaves for hunting/comes home from hunting trips, light bars/LED lights would be good, bull bars, and for construction jobs, toolboxes would be useful.
