Yep its hard to spend $300 or more on a cai and not know how much it helps. Thats why i jumped on the one i found on ebay. Just take your time look on ebay and other online places and you should find a good deal sometime.

Guys... I have a Volant CAI with the air tube sitting in boxes waiting to be installed (on sale at performancecenter.com for about $310 for both!). I also have a transdapt TBS in a box. I read on the Volant FAQs that you can't use a TBS with the CAI? I see you guys have it on your 5.3. Does anyone know if it works/fits with a 6.0? Any advice on install is appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks Hunt! Did you find it made a good difference? Just wondering if the TBS is worth the install...

Thanks Hunt... maybe I'll install the CAI first, then install the TBS once my warranty is out... then I can see what diff it makes for each...

I installed the CAI today... I must say... directions SUCK! I am not a mechanic by any means - having said that, it still only took me 2 hours to install- not bad.

Do you guys have fog lights? The ram air would not fit due to the foglight assembly. Am I doing something wrong? I am frustrated since I installed the entire thing, but could not get the ram air to fit. I'm also a bit uncomfortable with the fit of the air tube to the throttle body (having to use the old gasket). Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Called Volant tonight... very helpful! I have to remove my plow hanger (or whatever you call that). It should fit fine then! :-)
