Default Warranty and Lift Kits

I have a 2005 Silverado Crew Cab and I have been wanting to put a lift kit on . Does anyone know if this will void my factory warranty? Also will a 305-70-17 tire fit on my factory wheels? Thanks

From what I have heard, yes a lift will void your warantee but only on suspension parts. If you put on bigger tires (like I am sure you plan) then some drivetrain parts will also be voided. So might as well wait. As far as the tires, they should fit the stock rims with no issues.

Thanks Smoke, thats what I suspected. One more question for you. I see you basically have the same truck as me minus your mods. What kind of gas mileage do you get with your truck? I get 16 mpg on avg., while the best I have ever got was 18 on trip. Does any of your mod help your mileage out? I was thinking about also adding a K&N intake on my truck to help out.

Yeah I do get better milage by around 1.5-2 mpg when I drive normal, although I can't keep my foot out of the gas now since I like the growl. My buddies call it the tornado truck now. Before I added the taller tires I got 21-22 on average before the mods and 23-24 after on the interstate if I took it easy, and 26.1 before and after with the cruise set at 60. Normal driving I was averaging 18-19 before the mods and tires, and after the mods 21.5-22. After the tires I am currently getting 16-17, but I think I may have an issue as I was getting around 19-20 right after I got the tires. Also I drive around 80 on the highway with alot of heavy accellerations due to idiots hanging out in the left hand lane slowing me down.

Popo , Not much I can say here. Your Gators had the Buckeyes number in both Football and Basketball. Maybe we can have a rematch in the B-Ball Championship.
Smoke, Do you have any ideas why my stock 5.3 can't get no where near 20 mpg. I have alot of peaple tell me that they can get 20-22 mpg on their stock 5.3.
