Weird "Clunking"
Hey, I just bought a used 2004 Chevy Silverado, 32,000 miles, V6 4.3L.
When I stop I hear a low thud, like the driveshaft is hitting somthing, or the transmision is droping, It always happens when im stoping around when I hit 5-10 MPH.
I have this thing with the dealership where if anything goes wrong within like 30 days I can bring it back and get it repaired for free. Ide like to have an idea of what might be going on beofre I go there and start listing problems.
Thanks in advance, Ben-

Its hard to tell what the problem is without driving it.
Could be something simple as the spare tire not up all the way.
Or could be a a broken transmission mount.
But I would tell the dealership so they can fix it.
Gooud luck

PLEASE SEE MY TSBs alert on page 1. I went through all the BS and it was what has now been one of the larger non recall in/out of warranty fixes by GM. It's the driveshaft with reference to lenght of yoke. Over 900k have had problem fixed. Call GM complaint # and if they won't help, return truck. It will cost you a rear end and then a tranny. I know this for sure.
Get on this quick guy and don't let them BS you into a yoke grease or blaming it on you.. Again, look at my TSB alerts on page 1, itis right there.
