I have always hung mine when I do brake jobs and never had one probelm just bcuz of that. They have to be able to hold alot of hydraulic pressure. I dont think hanging a caliper is gonna weaken a high pressure hose.

they are made to hold alot of pressure yes but they are not made to hang an 10 lb caliper from them. it put a lot of stress on the hose esp where the crimp connector on the top is. it can internally damage the hose, i know this from expriance.

Question

Here's a question:

If the problem was my hubs, wouldn't they have seized up by now? I have been hearing this noise for months, so I would assume they would have welded to the spindle or fallen off by now. Is it possible this is my CV's?
