Ok im hoping this has not been talked about becauseI couldnt find anything. I bought my truck used a while back its a 94 K1500 350. What are some things thatI should look for as far as problems or regular matenance goes. The truck seemed to be in great shape whenI bought it but it has lived in MI on the salty roads and it has 155k miles on it.The body is in great shape other than a few chipsand one of the rockers is a little soft. the the frame looks like it just has some surface rust but nothing of concern. And the engine looks really clean. I know iI need a new intake manifold gasket cuz the anti-freeze is leaking but thats getting done when it gets warmer. What should I be careful of, watch out for, or look for? I am assuming thereare some hidden horses that I could find just by replacing cheap things that have never been replaced. All help/opinions welcome. I assume Argon would have some good input being a Tech.

 

i would start with a general tune up and check the parts that get removed. you can tell a lot about how the engine is running and diagnose engine issues just by the kinds of wear to these parts.
