What switches light up at night??
My 02 Silverado that I just bought has 255K miles so it has seem many nights and some of the lights are out and not for sure what is suppose to light up. The ones I question are;
Passenger side airbag disarm switch. When it's in the "on" position should the word "on" be lit?? The off lights up so I would think the on should as well??
HVAC controls; It all lights up except the bottom buttoms, are these suppose to light up?
I just replaced all 10 bulbs in the radio but what about the little light to the right of the volume button for auto volume??
Headlight switch; Everything is lit except the dimmer icon above the ****. Is this supposed to be lit??

I have so many out right now on my '99 Silverado honestly, I can't remember which are luminated and which are not. I know the bottom 3 buttons below HVAC controls on mine WERE luminated (circulation in/out, AC on/off) but all 3 are burned out now.
They are BI-PIN T-1 type incandescent lamps soldered in the circuit board. I removed one to measure (since there are no numbers of course) and believe I have found a match that I'm going to try. Lamp number is 8098. It's a 14V, 0.9 watt, 16,000 hour bulb with the same dimensions.
I'm hoping these are the same as the Auto/2HI/4HI/4LO because they are out too. If not, I'll pull one of them and measure it. If you're wondering why I'm so **** about this it's because I work in the Electrical/Electronic field AND I work at night so my instrument panel lights rack up more hours than most. I replaced my head unit years ago because just about every light on it was gone.
My truck is in excellent shape body-wise and mechanically. Interior still like new. Interior lights (and DRL's) are my only problems.
