Default Wheels Rubbing

I am at college now but had a family member snag some wheels form craigslist for my 2003 silverado 1500 regular cab 2WD. My dad went to install them and said the front ones were fine but the back one was rubbing on the calipers. What options do I have? I got a good deal but if I have to re-sell I will. Could I put a spacer in to clear the distance, or is that not recommended? Grinding down the caliper so it doesn't rub? Are any of these methods safe?

EDIT: they're 16 inch wheels, same size as whats on it now, which I believe is stock.

Thank you,

Adam

Don't grind the caliper. Go with a spacer if possible but make sure the spacer is for your vehicle. They should be hub centric or an imbalance could occur depending on what thickness you need.
