Whoops....it's in the intake
1998 Sierra 4x4
4.3L Vortec
Ive been having starting issues the last few days. I think i've narrowed it down to the fuel pump (pressure test tomorrow). One problem: while tinkering around I snapped off the pressure sensor located atop the upper intake manifold. While trying to pull the bottom of the sensor out of the hole, she dropped down, straight into the port below. I'm not sure if it made it into the lifter valley or if it's still wedged in the port. I tried to snake it out with no luck.
My question is, if a guy was unable to get this small PLASTIC peice out without taking the upper AND lower intake manifold off, would it be okay in the valley? I can't remember if there is a way for something to get into the cylinder or infront of a lifter from that port or not?
