Default Will my truck look good??????

Okay I need help, i am planning on putting a 6 inch Rough Country lift kit on my 98 chev z71 extended cab,as well as 20 inch KMC Rockstars with 33 inch tires. My problem is that i don't know if this will look good. Any input will be greatly appreciated. I've never seen a 88-98 chevy with this lift and wheel and tire combo so getting any pictures of what it might look like has been impossible.

It will look okay but 33's are way to small if you are going to a 6 inch lift. I have 33's on my stock 05. I would go with at least 35's or a little taller if they will fit.

I fond a picture on photobucket. I don't know how much of a lift they have and the tire size don't look right but it is the same body style.

Issue 1:I am working on a 3' lift for my 94, I have 33s, and that is making me question if they are too small. I think if you do a 6" lift you will be very unhappy with 33s. I have a buddy with a 98 and a 6" lift and 35s and it looks great!

Issue 2: I have been told by many people not to go with a rough country lift.I know they are the cheapest but you get what you pay for. The lifts will sag after 6 months and they are known for not living up to there warrentys. The shop in my town refuses to install, sell, or work on them because "they are garbage". The reason i know this, I almost boughtone too.

I agree. 33 inch tires are too small for this lift. I have 33s with only a 2 inch leveling kit. Do at least 35s.

My chart says that if you have a 6" lift you can fit 35x12.50's with no fender trimming and 36x14.50 on it with some minor fender trimming. If you went with 37x12.50 you can do it with the 6" lift and some major fender trimming, possibly some bumper trimming. So be aware of these things that you may have to do just to get it to work. I personally wouldn't go any bigger than the 35's just because the truck will not accelerate properly and you will lose significant fuel mileage because of the larger tires. You can get different gears and that will help. (A Lot!) Also most people forget toconsider this, Brakes! You need to upgrade your brakes when you go to a bigger tire. It's not so much of the added weight thatmakes it important, it's the added rotational weight that is why it is so important.Other than that, get your speedo recalibrated to make sure that you are not speeding. Well good luck on all the work ahead of you.
