hey guys this might sound like a strange question but i am looking at winches for my truck and i have some questions. is there any way i could mount it somewhere other than my front bumper? i would like to mount it in my bed under my tool box so i can use it for recovery and to secure loads in the bed. would this be a possibility? I have a 94' z71.

 

Yea it is. I have seen trucks with winches in the beds to pull out other trucks or themselves. . The ones ive seen on the bed they weld beams across the frame and bolt the winch onto the beams.You mite have to cut a hole in the bed so the winch could sit securely on the frame.

 

yeah i've seen that done too... probably a little more involved than the front mount, but it can be done
