I have a 2001 Silverado and I want to tint my front dirver and passenger side windows to match the tint on the rear ones. Does anyone know what % tint that is? Also I plan on buying the "do it yourself" stuff from Kragen, is this the way to go? Thanks!

 

I tried the "do it yourself" method once and it didn't turn out well. Of course I didn't have the sense to do it inside or on a windless day.....???
Any big window tint shop should have a meter to measure the %. Ask them for a written quote and you may get the info you seek.

 

I am wanting to say its 30% maybe 20 to 25 i got 5% done on my front two windows and it was only $50 Not sure how much the do it your self cost but $50 is worth taking it in to me.

Doing it yourself never comes out right. Also most places give you a lifetime warantee. It is only $100 to do the whole truck, so $50 or less to do 2 windows. I would go darker though, as dark as is legal if you want them all to be the same. I personally like the darkest they have on the back to help hide things in my back seat.

 

depends on the rear window... i have a rear sliding window and got charged 100 for the rear window itself

 

about 15-20% matches pretty well with the stock tint... the problem is its a different kind of tint so it wont match exactly but you can get it close enough

 

I have 20% on there and it matches almost perfectly.

 

Does anyone know the stock % for the back window and two back sides? I have an 00 Z71 and none of them are tinted and wanted to get them done.

 

Just a little advice, I’d check with your local law enforcement to see what is legal. I’ve seen post where people have been pulled over and ticketed.[sm=proof.gif]
