ok here it is, in florida the legal level is 28% in the front and 15% on the rear. unless and this is good news! if you have a truck or suv the rear windows can be spraypainted black if you want so long as you have side mirrors!

i measured my rear 3rd door window last night and it was 15% i had them put 28 on the front 2 and it looks great. 25 bucks a window.

the reason it is leagal to have the rear as dark as you want is to protect your cargo ie tools and stuff.

yeah in tn our law is about 15% on the back but local cops will tell you they only look at the front because they understand people trying to protect their stuff

law on the front is 35% btw, which is nowhere near dark enough for me... im just going to take my chances with limo tint

Popo - it is my understanding that an officer/deputy cannot pull you over for window tint alone. Is this correct, in FL?

here in florida it is considered a primary violation that you can be pulled over for. however, i have to test your tint to make sure that my visual estimation was right that it was under the limit. if i test it and it is legal, i have to let you go even if you have a bad liscense. or other violation discovered as a result of the stop. it is called fruit of the poisonous tree. you would easily win in court on that one.
