wiring quirks
I just got an 07 Silverado Classic 1500 to replace my 2002 1500, I'm sold on the series, but my new one has a funny quirk:
About 50% of the time I start my truck, the ABS and Parking Brake dummy lights stay on. It's really predictable, every other time I start it up, just about. When the dummy lights stay on, the climate control gets really goofy- it stays stuck in the same settings- the fan blower stays at the same speed, the temperature stays the same, and the vents as well. Next time I start up, the dummy lights stay off, the the climate system responds just like it should.
Mainly, the problem is in the morning, when I really need my defrost to work, but I've been able to shut off my truck and restart it so everything works normal. Like I said, it's a very predictable quirk.
Sounds to me like a little wiring short or mix-up, what do you guys think? I haven't gotten around to finding a wiring diagram or anything yet, or taking a look at it myself, hopefully will get around to it soon. Anyone had any similar quirks to this?
