Default Wobbling on Sierra

Apart from my dad's 96 Sierra, I also have an '89 Sierra 1500. What I don't know about automotives would fill many books, that's why I'm here. Couple of weeks a go I started to get shimmy/shake/wobble in steering wheel a bit. Over time it started to get more pronounced. Thought I needed front-end alignment. Took it to the mechanic, he said I needed a pitman arm and a bunch of other stuff before an alignment would do me any good. may i ask if where i can buy this stuff over the internet?
