I've been trying to find the towing cap for my '03 Dakota but having troubles finding the 'true' values.

Recently on Dodge.com (Dodge Towing Guide - By Vehicle) trying to find, and get stumped at the Model/Series. All available options do not seem to apply as no matter which option I choose, when getting to the Engine/Transmission option, mine does not appear.....

I have an '03 Dodge Dakota, 4x4, 5.9L V8, with 3:92 axle ratio

My searches are coming up with varying info between 5k and 6k lbs. Can anyone confirm?

Also, anyone know how I can find what model/series I have. Only thing I can find anywhere on the truck or manual is a model code of AN5M84, although this seems to be something provided from a used dealership through the trucks life.

Trying to compare tow capacity to some other trucks the father in-law is looking at for similar mid-size trucks and he really likes my/this truck unless he can find something not too much larger that will tow more. Thanks for any help people!
