Default 1980 dodge ram 50

I need to replace my throw-out bearing and clutch. The parts store wants to know if it is a 10 or 11! I have no idea what they mean. Also, when looking in the owners manual, I came across the directions for lubricating the manual transmission gearshift controls. There is a note:"To lubricate the mechanism the vehicle must be in reverse gear with the engine off." I bought this truck new in 1980 and I am not sure if this was ever done. It was the first I had heard of it. Would my mechanic know this? Anyway, I am discovering new and wonderful things about my old farm truck by the day.
Any help you could give me would be appreciated! thanks
