I'm currently in the market for a new pickup truck. I'm thinking about getting one of the 2006 or 2007 RAMS 5.7 hemi with the Multi-displacement System (MDS) in them. I wanted to know if anyone can report real world MPG fuel efficiency/economy numbers.

I got my 2007 1500 Ram 4X4. Qcab, with the 5.7 MDS system In June, 07. The avg Hiway economy I getIn Colorado @ 5,000 to 7,ooo ft el. Is14 city, and20 Hiway... The best Hiway so far was 22.5 ...The lower you are In el. the more air and gas you will use..= less fuel economy... Doug

 

With my 2007 1500 4x4, QC, 5.7 MDS Hemi, I avg about 16mpg with an even mix between highway and city driving. I live in Los Angeles, CA.

 

my dads got an 07 hemi with MDS since december 06 and we get 22 hiway

 

My friends 2007 Ram 5.7 gets on average 16. Its a quad cab 4x4. Which is about the same mileage I see out of my 5.3 Sierra.

 

Hey there im getting in mine got 26,000 miles 06 plate 5.7 hemi mds etc

15 around town and around 22.5 on highway although today i got 23.5 doing 60mph in cruise

 

my 04 SLT 5.7 gets 22-24 on highway 12-16 on street depending how i put my foot on it
