Cab to shell gap, KILLING MPG, help!
Hey Fellas,
I had an aluminum canopy built for my 2011 Ram crew cab, kinda utilitarian in nature, something I can take on and off, use a bit for work. I got it out of the shop and immediately noticed that a square aluminum canopy just doesn't fit the new Rams. This was as close as they could get it. BIG gap. Driving it home (a 6 hr freeway drive), the truck wouldn't go in to ECO mode and the best I did on the highway was 14 vs. my typical 20. It's fighting a wind suck really bad. I've linked to two pictures of the gap.
The canopy shop has a poor return policy (30% restocking fee and the 70% remaining is good for in store credit only) so I'm stuck with a useless canopy unless I can find a way to create an "air bridge" without messing up the paint. And something removable. Maybe a magnetized strip over rubber with a piece of polycarbonate attached. I don't know. Just hoping ya'll might be able to brainstorm with me.
Thanks in advance and take a look at the two links below.

Working on those links. In the meanwhile, you can type the URL directly into your browser and they'll come up. For some reason, my web hosting site is denying the link. (anybody know how to directly post a photo here?
