Hi I'm new here. I searched past threads but could not find an answer, maybe some of you can help.
I have a 98 Ram regular cab 4x4.I need to remove the lighter from the dash so I can tap into the wiring. I have a CB radio (mostly to use the PA feature) that I want to power so that it is off when the key if off. Or, if anyone knows a better place to tap into the electrical system to accomplish this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you got that figured out, how did you get the face plate off to pull the stereo out? I need to put an inline adapter for my Sirius Satelite radio...

 

If you tap into your cigarette lighter wireing, chances are, it will be hot all the time. I would break out the owners manuel, go to the fuse locations, and find a fuse that isn't being used, but is off when the ignition is off, and tap into that.
