Ok, I have a 96 Dakota 4x4 with the v8 on a 3inch lift. The kid I got it from says it has the dakota slam. It's done it for two years he says...Kinda ****ty if you ask me, I don't like it. It slams into either drive or reverse, and there is a clunk noise when I lift my foot off the gas and put it back down, kinda like somethings not ingaging for a split second..any Idea's, I would like to fix it..

I know this is the ram section But i was hoping someone would have an idea I posted it in both thank you..

 

Never heard of teh Dakota Slam.....Never heard anything about the Dakota...

 

Never heard of the Dakota Slam ? But sounds like something in the transmission.
