I have to adjust the distributor on my 92' D150, 5.2. I can just barely see what I think is the top of the hold down bolt but am having no luck getting to it to loosen it. I've tried a distributor wrench with no luck.If you have had luck getting this loosened please share your secret with me. Thanks

 

perserverence.... sorry, I used to have a Dodge Ram that I had distributor problems with but it has been so long I don't remember dealing with it. Doesn't seem like it was very difficult though. Try spraying some Liquid Wrench on it and let it soak. Lots and lots of Liquid Wrench.

 

pull the air cleaner out and make some room. should be one bolt that holds a little c shaped hold down, that should be all that holds it in place.
