Default Noise from rear end of truck

I have a 2003 1500 Quad Cab with 85000 miles on it.
It just started making at loud ticking/knocking noise from the rear end.
It makes the noise only when I let off the gas not during accelloration.
Anybody have a clue what it could be?
Thanks

Check your U joints lately? Check them with the truck in nuetral so there is no driveline pressure on the joints ( don't forget to block the wheels!.. lol ) if it's not the joints I'd check out the braking system & pop the cover on the rear axle for a closer look , maybe a carrrier problem.

If you don't score a find on the U Joints, i know i got the same kind of noise out of my Pickup from the wheel bearings. Hope you find it.

I'd check the U joints first, and them go to brakes, and bearings. Hope you can get it fixed.
